Extravaganza, that was hosting the Main area last year, makes its comeback during Pride Night, but has chosen to move to Vaag, Antwerp’s state of the art venue in light and sound. Combined with uplifting music, themed decoration and massive shows will once again lead to a fabulous night out.
As always Extravaganza has chosen a theme in which they immerse their visitors to the fullest. This year the party focusses on ‘Circus’: a burlesque carnival of glitter and glam, with crazy acts and colourfull dancers. Designer Harald Ligtvoet, responsible for the costumes of the party since its launch, will be the creative brain behind this theme. Sexy outfits, excessive make up, showgirls and acrobats: this extravagant circus will leave for sure its mark on Antwerp Pride!
But Extravaganza also puts a huge effort in creating a specific musical atmosphere, different from what you would hear in mainstream clubs or parties. Responsable for this sound are the 2 day one resident deejays Wax’x and Nick van Acker. They sure know how to keep the dance floor filled all night long, a dance floor filed with boys, girls and everyone in between.
CAFE DE LOVE
BAR HELDER (DE SHOP)
The most established and popular lesbian party in town, Cafedelove, was also part of last year’s edition and due to its huge succes, CdL will of course participate again. Cafe de Love even joined forces with another strong brand, but let’s keep this info classified for now.
Cafe De Love used to be a monthly get-together for girls who like girls and grew out to be the beating heart of the Belgian lesbian club culture. Despite its huge success Cafedelove chose to go from monthly dance nights to more infrequent editions, which has created an even bigger popularity. Its Cafedelove Revival Nights are sold out time after time again. Its last edition on April 30th has proven this once again.
Cafedelove, founded by Ann Van den Eeden over 10 years ago is a straight (don’t take that literally) forward event that combines fun themes with quality pop and house music. International female guest deejays, cabaret and live shows were the cherry on the cake of this marvelous night out for ladies. For Pride Night Cafedelove welcomes Dutch urban deejay Mimi and Antwerp based Digna next to resident deejay Da Pierre.
So let’s not make things complicated, for ladies into ladies: Cafe de Love.
